After all of that I had been through, I decided to take a break & drive up to Queensland to visit my Mother. The black dot you can see along the scar line was never to heal.
The dot continued to expand over the next few months. The Plastic Surgeon was going to try a Skin Graft, before prodceding with this (the 4th surgery) he suggested I spend some time a hyperbaric chamber, this improves blood supply & helps the healing procedure.
After 3 weeks (5 hourly sessions a week) I was scheduled for the Graft. A piece of skin cut from behind my ear & placed over the now expanded void & it was back to the chamber for the 4th week. While in the chamber, I noticed an odour under the hood, a bit like smelly feet.
Turns out it was the graft decaying, a fifth operation was scheduled.
This was taken after the failed skin graft, The skin continually constricted exposing more & more of my skull.
